Bill Russell was an American professional basketball player, and he played as a center for the Boston   Celtics of the national basketball association from 1956 to 1969. Bill Russell was born  February 12  in west Monroe LA, and he die on July 31, 2022, at mercer island WA. 

Bill was also cut from his junior high basketball team. Russell stood 6 feet 9 and /13 16ths inches. Bill Russell has the most NBA rings as a player and coach. He earned 11 NBA titles in his thirteen-year playing career. Russell became a player-coach in 1966. Bill was legendary. 

His basketball number was 6. Bill Russell was the first black head coach in the league and led the Celtics to two more championship victories.   Bill Russell also receives gold medal of freedom from President Obama. Bill also won two NCAA championships and an Olympic gold medal. As we can see that Bill was a good basketball player, he gives his all to help them win. Bill put his mind to work. He worked extremely hard even when times get hard, he worked. Bill also has 3 kids. Bill Russell was a hard-working man!
