Upgrading the Lake
March 15, 2022
Its Been a Long Time Coming…
In the devastation after the two hurricanes, Lake Charles is not a ideal place to live. But, with the chance of federal dollars coming in, are beloved city might have a chance to make a full recovery (and then some). Because despite the horrible cautions here the people of Lake Charles still looks ahead, and that spirt is why plans of upgrading the lakefront are being made.
Plans For the Future…
The first thing that will be coming is a peer going out into the gulf, hopefully they decide to make it in to something like a amusement park. Even though that might not happen ( the amusement park that is) its worth hoping for especially after the lost of the USS Orleck. The second thing is a walking path connecting the north shore to the civic center, unfortunately this is a not confirmed but, it is expected to be brought to the councils attention according to mayor hunter. Although for now there are no regarding actions by the council have been made. Third thing is something that will be coming back a, horse carriage rides ( if a company will provide horses). A public hearing is in consideration for a special exception permeant allowing a company to provide carriage services will be held. An lastly a public hearing on changes for, port wonder and crying eagle are being arranged. The council is hoping that the state can help with funding but for now this is all the information we have so keep your fingers crossed Lake Charles.
