Who’s your favorite celebrity? Maybe you like their songs, the way they dress, their acting, or trends they set. I bet you know everything about them. But how? Because of YouTube channels that gossip about celebrities, leaked photos on Twitter, and articles such as this one. Some news is important to share, like when a bombing took place at Ariana Grande’s concert on May 22nd, 2017. But other news ruins celebs’ reputations. Yet we still do this. Why? Some people find it fun to gossip, or to know everything about that person. Some people want to have a lot of dirt on someone because they don’t like how they act, so they share reputation damaging information. But the same way gossiping about someone in your school hurts others, gossiping about celebrities, especially things the celebs didn’t want shared, can hurt others as well. Of course, there isn’t much you can do if footage gets leaked on the internet, but make sure that YOU don’t do this. Not just gossiping about celebrities but to everyone!
