S.T.E.M

S.T.E.M is commonly known for 4 areas of study: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. There are also many other STEM courses that you could take in college. These 4 areas of study are always overlooked and rarely appreciated which leads to very few people deciding to career in these STEM majors.
Recently, I had a conversation with Ms. Randle and the two questions I asked her were, ” What are y’all working on currently?” and “How are you enjoying it so far?”. She responded with,” We are currently working on a project called ‘Building a Better Lake Charles’. This is a 3D modeling and design software called Tinkercad which is an engineering program for architects by way of Altodesk. After designing it, students will be able to print their designs and add them to our classes miniature city. I am enjoying it so far because my students are learning career skills for the future and I like to see how the students are growing in their understanding of that field”.
S.T.E.M creates critical thinkers, increases literacy of all subjects, and enables the next generation of innovators. It provides an education which gives people skills to become employable and earn a higher demand for the future.
